A Better Online Banking Experience - Coming Soon

Introducing UBU's Digital Banking Upgrade on March 3, 2021

We are excited to announce that a new digital banking experience is coming soon to United Bank of Union customers!

Since implementing online banking almost 20 years ago, we have diligently made changes, revisions, and upgrades to our system to provide you with the best banking experience possible.

In recent years, we have taken an even closer look at our services and decided that we could do better- that you, our customer, deserved better.  We immediately got to work and started researching what we could do to provide you with a better banking experience, and we are pleased to let you know that great things are on the horizon for UBU’s online banking users. In the upcoming months, our online banking and mobile banking apps are getting an upgrade – an intuitive, customer-focused interface, enhanced security measures, and new and improved features.

Take a look at the information below to learn more about what this new platform holds for users, important information to know through this transition, frequently asked questions, and a sneak peek to the new digital banking system!

Important Things to Know Prior to March 3, 2021

Updated Contact Information Helps Us and You

The upgraded system has new features to protect your accounts and personal information - and updated contact information helps the system do its best job. Additionally, the new digital banking system will ask you to verify your identity the first time you log in - you'll want updated contact information on file to have a seamless login experience!

You can verify that your information is up-to-date by logging into your online banking and viewing your information stored in your Profile.

For more information on how to update your contact information online, visit our Update Contact Information page for step by step instructions and a video tutorial by clicking the button below - or give us a call at 636-583-2555 and we are more than happy to help!

NEW: A Security Feature For All Users: Secure Access Codes

Secure Access Codes are one of the new features of the upgraded digital banking system. A Secure Access Code (SAC) is an additional security measure used to verify your identity when logging into your account for the first time from a new device. Using your information on file, you will choose whether to receive a text, phone call, or email with a 6-digit code that you will use when logging in. This SAC process is an example of why having updated customer
contact information on file is important,

Don't worry - if you have trouble with your SAC during the login experience, give us a call and we will be able to help!

NOTE: This SAC will not be required until the new system goes live on March 3, 2021. Secure Access Codes will not affect the current online banking login process.

Helpful Hint: Update your contact information prior to March 3, for quick & convenient access to the new Digital Banking System! Head to our Update Customer Contact information page to learn more.
NEW & IMPROVED: Account Alerts

Alerts will be offered in the new platform, but have undergone a serious upgrade! More extensive alert types and abilities will be offered than ever before. Choose from Account, History, Online, and Calendar alerts and choose what delivery method works best for you - whether it's a text, a phone call, a secure message to your digital banking inbox, or an email.

NOTE: Alerts that were previously established with online banking will need to be re-configured in the new system. Due to the new capabilities and features of Alerts, we are asking all customers to re-establish any existing alerts and to take a look at all the new options as well.

ATTENTION: Current BillPay Users

BillPay will not be accessible to customers between Thursday, February 25 @ 8:00 AM - Wednesday, March 3 @ 7:59 AM. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience, but this period of unavailability is necessary as we migrate data and information (including vendor, payments, and historical data) from the old online banking system to the new digital banking platform.

Helpful Hint: For payments during the window of unavailability, future date your payments prior to Thursday February 25. New payments cannot be submitted by customers during this window, but you can opt to "schedule" a payment for any day in this window, as long as it is submitted PRIOR to February 25.
What if I forget to schedule a payment to be paid during this window? Is there anything I can do for an exception?
- Yes. While customers cannot access their BillPay portals from 02/25 - 03/02, a UBU Operations Specialist can submit payments on your behalf. For assistance on scheduling a BillPay during this time frame, please contact us at 636-583-2555.
ATTENTION: Browser Compatibility Update - Upgrade Your Internet Browser, Too

The new Digital Banking system is optimized to work with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari. Internet Explorer is not compatible with the new system. If you currently use Internet Explorer, update your Internet Browser now so that you have no issues accessing your accounts on March 3. Modern browsers such as Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, have greater security measures than Internet Explorer - this is among the many reasons why we are asking customers to upgrade their browsers if they currently use Internet Explorer.

We have compiled a convenient list of browser downloads for you to utilize, if necessary.  Click the Browser Upgrade button below to learn more.

ATTENTION: Potential Quicken/Quickbooks/Mint Connection Disruption

With the digital banking upgrade, your settings for Quickbooks, Quicken, and Mint may need to be adjusted to ensure your data transfers accurately. Aggregation services may be interrupted between March 3 - March 13, 2021. We recommend for users to download a QFX/QBO file in the event of connectivity disruptions. The following services are believed to be the most likely impacted:

  • Quicken Win/Mac Express Web Connect
  • QuickBooks Online Express Web Connect
  • Mint
Please carefully review your downloaded transactions after completing the migration instructions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed on the register.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us via our Online Contact Inquiry Form or by calling us at 636-583-2555.
